Lisa De Angelis
Standing a tiny five feet tall, Lisa De Angelis has the kind of voice and stage presence that can bring a dance floor to life at a pub, or move an audience to tears at a wedding ceremony. This bubbly, chipper pocket rocket hails from southwest Sydney and cut her musical teeth in the deep south of the United States.
Lisa taught herself to play guitar in 2017, and made music her full-time job within 3 months. Since then she has played weddings, parties, festivals and events all over the east coast of Australia and in the US, thoughtfully curating the perfect atmosphere for every event and mood. Her live shows include something for everybody - pop hits from the 80s & 90s through to current Top 40 through to acoustic covers of rock’n’roll favourites.
In her own right, Lisa has toured with and opened shows for some of Australia’s best, including Steve Kilbey (The Church), Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon), Nathan Cavaleri, Amber Lawrence, Hayley Jensen, Catherine Britt, Melody Moko and Hayley Marsten. De Angelis’ debut single Tumblin’ Back - produced by her partner Paul Bain (co-producer of Kirsty Lee Akers’ ARIA No.1 album ‘Wild’) and mastered by Grammy Award-winner William Bowden of King Willy Sound - was released into the wild in December 2021.
In 2022 Lisa played her first Gympie Music Muster; played The Ekka for the first time in her new hometown of Brisbane; toured as both opening act and backing vocalist for ARIA Award nominee Amber Lawrence; and was selected for the Australian Independent Record Label Association's 'Women In Music Mentorship Program'. Through the WIM Mentorship program Lisa was taken under the capable wing of ARIA Award-winner Fanny Lumsden to plan the release of Lisa’s forthcoming debut album.
She relocated to Brisbane in June 2021 and - between touring commitments - Lisa is currently co-producing and recording her debut album.
